Nations Cup XVII -Captain Applications
Back to top Back to main Skip to menuOne week ago we asked you, the community, whether Urban Zone should host the upcoming NationsCup - more info. After the dust settled it seems the majority support it. We’ve also had more time to talk with the ClanBase staff and after careful deliberation we’ve decided to host it together. We joined forces with former ClanBase staff, several of whom joined our ranks along with Sotone who thanks to his extensive experience will be a head admin for this cup together with Urban Zone admins.
We decided that we won’t change the format of the NationsCup, so there will be no multiple national teams. We’ve also decided to use rules and bans of ClanBase and FrozenSand bans! If the captain or one of the players in the team is banned on Urban-Zone, a request to unban the player needs to be sent to one of the admins. This player is only unbanned for Nations Cup, not for regular Urban Zone seasons.
Another question was regarding teams from specific regions instead of just nations. We will allow “logical” regional cooperations; examples include Scandinavia, Asia, etc. These coops will be judged by the admins as we don’t want, for example, Indian players to play in an Indian national team and an Asian team. We won’t be accepting coops between Italy and Norway. Aside from representing your nation you may also represent the country you currently reside in but we will require proof of residence in questionable case.
We’ve also revised our decision regarding captaincy votes: we will have Captain votes on the Urban Zone Forums. As you're used to, first we will accept captain applications (to be submitted by midnight, January 5, 2014) and then hold a captain vote (which will commence on January 6th and continue until January 12).
Captain Votes
If you want to be the captain of your nation or region send your application to ncapplications@urban-zone.org by midnight of January 5th, 2014. Add the following information to the application: Auth name, UZ name, country, age, clan, and a comment. Things you could add to your application are real name, number of years you’ve played, and other relevant information which may help voters decide whether you're the right person to be their nation's captain.
