The most active team yet is 0ld. with an incredible amount of 100 matches up to now.
Nothing is decided yet, everyone can still win, especially grabbing extra points will increase your chance to catch up!

Week 2 - Special Maps - 31.12 to 6.1
For the next week (second themed week) Teams earn ONE (1) extra point if they play TWO of the following maps:
tombs_snow, casa_snow, uptown_snow, ut4_blizzard, ut4_nepal, ut4_snowland, ut4_snowyriver, ut_twinlakes, ut4_swim, ut4_crazychristmas, ut4_christmas_a3, ut4_secretbase, ut4_winterassault_b1, ut_twinlakesv2, ut4_eagle, ut4_coldwar_b3 and ut_siberia.
The gametype does not matter. Note that this is fully optional, you may still play whatever you consider fun.
Furthermore teams will still get TWO (2) extra points if they play 4.2.009.
Feedback & Input on 4.2
We still want this winter cup to be a testing event for 4.2. You can report on 4.2.009 (voice your opinion, no matter if positive or negative, but keep it polite and on topic) here: THE 4.2 FORUM SECTION
We had quite a few wars being played in 4.2 and the feedback to now was phrased all fine and heard by Frozen Sand. We hope to keep it that way.
Servers
We know most of your team servers haven't yet been upgraded to 4.2, so we made sure to have some servers available from our friends and sponsors. If you need a 4.2 server, ask in our irc channel or pm one of the staff members. We now have 6 servers available to use.
If you happen to own a 4.2 server and are willing to let other teams use it if they need to, let us know. There can never be enough servers.
Extra Points
If you have played matches where extra points still havent been entered, contact staff members on our IRC channel, in order to get the points you deserve.
Reminders
Aliases: Please keep in mind that you are only allowed to use ONE (1) alias per event. The first alias entered in your profile counts. If you happen to ignore it, your team will suffer point deductions.
Demos: Although the winter cup is considered a fun event, uploading demos is still mandatory! So please provide them on time and don't make things more difficult than necessary. Be aware that failure to provide demos will also lead to point deductions in form of forfeits and possibly even suspensions of players.
Fakes: We had several incidents where players registered accounts for other players, some even for cheaters. The accounts were banned and certain players suspended from the league.
Please don't ever register accounts for someone else! If someone has trouble with the registration, please remit him/her to our staff in our IRC channel. Registering accounts for other people will lead to a ban, so just don't.
