The last quarter-final match will bring us an interesting match between two of the best teams around. The "Equipe de France" didn't have any problems at all in winning Group A. Canada and Colombia surrendered before even trying and gifted Klad's Team with 2 noshow wins.
Both matches would have been a mere formality, anyway. JediMind's Brits challenged the defending champions on Uptown but lost as well. French-haters' last hopes were put on Brazil and Portugal but the South Americans were literally obliterated and France didn't even break a sweat while dealing with Portugal, all in all, France continued their domination of last years NationsCup. They won the group and took a "bye" who made them jump directly to QF.

Team Italyfaced off against Poland in playoff's round one and surprisingly knocked szejdi's team out in straight maps. Italy's choice was Casa TS (it was forced, to be accurate, but Italy didn't change map because it was their home map) and managed to win it by one only round. The map was rather campy and Italian players experience led them to get the right kills in the right moments, DANGER and Brizz were definitely on fire and made the difference, the rest of the TS lineup was completed by Giomarketz and over from Quad and Taker from aCe.
The real surprise was the Italian performance on Algiers CTF (Poland's pick) which ended in a clear 16-7 (8-4/8-3) in favour of Brizz' team. T0tti from aCe and GodNess from Easyfix.it took Giomarketz and DANGER's spot to guarantee a more CTF orientated lineup.

Team Italy has performed very nicely in these past 2 years, they grabbed a silver medal two seasons ago by losing the Grand Final against the old, emo Team Germany and lost to USA in past year's QF. They managed to equal past year's result by reaching QF and they can be happy with it. Casa TS is the only concrete chance Italy has to at least struggle to force French tanks to play a decider.
Team France is obviously the favourite to win this match, the performance over the last five years are incredible. 2 gold medals and several other medals to boot. We expect them to win in straight maps at this stage. Although spaghetti's performed surprisingly well in CTF against Poland, France is still too solid in that gametype to allow any doubts about the map win and choosing a not-so-common map like Beijing is only another way to enforce their dominance, if it was even necessary.

Bringing it to a decider bomb map would be a great result for Italy but, even so, beating France in BM could be very hard, or better close to impossible, taking into account that team KoS' awards in that gametype.
The winner of this match will face off against the winner between Brazil and Nordic Team for a promisingly amazing semifinal.
