Back to top Back to main Skip to menuThe first week of Urban-Zone CTF and TS is about to start. Don't forget to arrange your first week's wars, they must be played between Oct 4th and Oct 10th. We realize our new site might be still a bit confusing. So for the moment you still have to tell an admin in #urban-zone on quakenet when your war will be played. Kendle (our web developer) is working on completing the website so that you can challenge each other and/or set your own dates without the help of admins.
The most frequently asked question for the past week was: "Why are the wars set on Monday 21:00 CET?". This is simply the default match schedule time! You still have to arrange the war with your opponent.

Match coverage
If you are a follower of the North American Urban Terror and Quake scene, you might seen or heard the coverage by tastyspleen.tv. The have been doing regular live match video streaming and shoutcasting on the internet. Jehar from TastySpleen has also done some excellent match coverage for QuakeCon event in Dallas (Texas) last summer (Like this very epic CTF action moment on QuakeCon).
Nexu has contacted them to see if they would be interested in covering Urban Zone matches, which they are. There is only one slight problem and that is timezones (-8). Since they have to work during the times that we normally play our evening matches they can only cover matches in the weekends. So in short, if you want to be featured in a match covered by tastyspleen.tv, schedule it on time and in the weekend evenings. (Higher divisions get priority).
Urban Zone Public Servers
Last but not least, thanks to Raider we have four public urban zone servers. We hope that these servers become a gathering place for all the players in Urban-Zone. I think the average skill would be a lot higher. When 4.2 comes out the passport system will alsomake it possible for us to only make them available for Urban Zone players.
